all about

Chachapoyas

Our daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, Chachapoyas, hails from an outstanding family, herself the half-sister to Group 1 performers Aramayo and Tupac Amaru. Aramayo showed incredible ability in winning Singapore’s Group 1 Kranji Mile as well as the Group 1 Raffles Cup in 2020. He has since to returned to Australia, where he is currently trained by Chris Waller. Tupac Amaru finished 2nd in the ATC Derby, within half a length of the 4-time Group 1 winner Criterion. Her dam, Peruvian, is the half-sister to 4 Stakes winners, including 3-time Group 1 winner In The Wings.

This mare was the farm’s first major acquisition when securing her at the Magic Millions sale in 2020 for $460,000 in foal to the sensational stallion Snitzel. She maintains precocity in her family, having listed placed as a 2-year-old in the Fernhill Stakes. Her only foal to race, Centro Storico, has performed against the best 2-year-olds this season. Chachapoyas is due to foal down on an early cover to Zoustar and will head to the dual hemisphere superstar stallion Exceed and Excel this breeding season.
